Corruption Prevention

Corruption Prevention

Our company takes corruption prevention seriously and has implemented an anti-corruption policy. We regularly confirm the effectiveness of our measures and conducted an independent audit in 2017, which highlighted areas for improvement. As a result, we have developed a training course for employees. It is our responsibility to uphold a culture of integrity in our relations with partners, private entities, and governmental authorities.

This training program applies international best practices in corruption prevention, with input from auditors and tailored to our company’s industry nuances. All Umm Said Refinery employees, including top management, will attend. Anti-corruption clauses have been included in contracts with partners and contractors, labor agreements for Umm Said Refinery employees, and agreements for material remuneration of Qatar employees working abroad, in addition to various regulations governing high-risk business processes.

We must comply with local and international laws for corruption prevention in all jurisdictions we operate in. Ignoring the associated risks is not an option. Identifying and assessing these risks is essential to effectively protect our employees, company and reputation. It’s crucial we take preventative measures to manage and mitigate these risks. A company’s growth and success depend on its ability to navigate risk and maintain positive relationships with foreign colleagues. We must prioritize the protection of our reputation both at home and abroad.
